Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) apologises to passengers for planned 12-hour outage of booking system

On 28 March 2012, Royal Brunei Airlines reservations system will not be available for 12 hours from 3pm Brunei local time (GMT +8) due to system enhancements.

During this period, passengers will not be able to create or amend flight bookings at any Royal Brunei Airlines office, online at flyroyalbrunei.com, or through any travel agents.

Passengers who are travelling during this period will still be able to check-in for their scheduled flights.

Tommy Koh Huey Ming, Royal Brunei Airlines’ Head of Management Information System (MIS) stated, “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to passengers during this time. The new system enhancements will be worth waiting for and will enable RBA to modernise its processes and increase efficiency while ensuring customer service is improved.”

Royal Brunei Airlines has recently selected the Amadeus Altéa Suite as its future platform for Passenger Service Systems (PSS). This includes Reservations, Inventory and Airport Check-in as well as other systems in a comprehensive technology agreement. The Amadeus Altéa Suite will be fully implemented by early May 2012.
