On 17 and 24 April 2012, Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) will be enhancing its system at Brunei International Airport. Due to system migrations, passengers travelling from Bandar Seri Begawan on RBA may experience delays during check-in.
System enhancements will be implemented for passengers travelling to Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Melbourne from 17 April 2012. Further system enhancements for all RBA scheduled flights will take place on 24 April 2012.
Royal Brunei Airlines will attempt to minimise these delays, including by assigning designated counters at the Business Class check-in area for passengers travelling to the aforementioned destinations. Passengers are also advised to arrive at the airport early to ensure sufficient time for check-in.
Tommy Koh Huey Ming, Royal Brunei Airlines’ Head of Management Information System (MIS) stated, “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to passengers during this time. Once the new system is in place, passengers will be able to enjoy a smoother check-in process.”
Royal Brunei Airlines has recently selected the Amadeus Altéa Suite as its future platform for Passenger Service Systems (PSS). This includes Reservations, Inventory and Airport Check-in as well as other systems in a comprehensive technology agreement. The Amadeus Altéa Suite will be fully implemented by early May 2012.
