16 August 2017, 11:37 AM

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) and Philippine Airlines (PAL), the national carriers of Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines, signed a codeshare agreement in July 2017. Guests from both countries are now able to purchase their flights to/from Cebu via Manila on a single ticket either with Royal Brunei Airlines or Philippines Airlines. PAL guests are now able to travel to and from Bandar Seri Begawan on RB operated flights under PAL flight number. This codeshare agreement provides RB and PAL guests more options whilst traveling on business or leisure between three key destinations in Asean.

Mr. Karam Chand, RB’s Chief Executive Officer said “RB is very pleased to have Philippine Airlines as our codeshare partner. Through this partnership, RB’s guests can seamlessly access Cebu, the oldest city of the Philippines filled with culture and history, white sandy beaches and beautiful underwater sports. We warmly welcome Philippine Airlines codeshare passengers on board our daily flights between Manila to Bandar Seri Begawan and beyond.”

Mr. Jaime Bautista, PAL President and COO, said “The codeshare partnership reconnects PAL with the Sultanate of Brunei which is home to close to 20,000 overseas Filipino workers. This renewed partnership with RB also expands our network supporting our vision of becoming a five star airline.”

Guests in Bandar Seri Begawan can purchase their tickets from the RB Customer Service Centre or any of the travel agents. Passenger in the Philippines could do likewise from RB Manila office, Philippines Airlines ticket offices or any preferred travel agents.
