Lead Assistant Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Desk

Job Purpose

  • Provide 24/7 support to Line Maintenance daily operations, ensuring aircraft parts, tools, and equipment requirements are available to achieve on-time performance and enhance dispatch reliability.
  • Source and procure aircraft parts, materials, and tooling for Aircraft on Ground (AOG), work stoppage, unscheduled maintenance, and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) requirements at the main base and outstations.
  • Source and provide parts and materials as requested for Aircraft Health Monitoring and proactive maintenance.

Job Accountabilities

  • Ensure material requested by the Maintenance Operations Controller is being actioned and monitored accordingly, especially in AOG situations and out-of-office hours.
  • Attend the Daily Status Report (DSR) meeting.
  • Update the progress of aircraft parts availability status for DSR or AOG by email or WhatsApp, ensuring the status is also reflected in Skywise.
  • To promptly act on instructions received from Material Supply Chain and Line Maintenance to expedite the resolution of defects, ensuring parts availability is managed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate closely with appointed freight forwarders and other logistics providers to manage the movement and tracking of shipments effectively.
  • Maintain a clear and updated handover list to ensure smooth continuity between day and night shifts. Report any major or significant incidents to MSC management promptly.
  • Ensure there is 24/7 coverage and maintain accurate chronological records of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
  • Assist other airlines and third-party Aircraft on Ground (AOG) requirements. Ensure all interactions with customers and suppliers are conducted efficiently and courteously.
  • Complete AMOS Vendor Supplier Rating as instructed when available.
  • Raise and respond to any issues regarding parts through AMOS Technical Assistance (APN869).

Qualification and Education

  • A college Diploma in the related field.

Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in a procurement-related field or in the aviation industry
