Royal Brunei Airlines and Myanmar Airways International ink codeshare agreement

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) and Myanmar Airways International (8M/MAI) signed a codeshare agreement that comes to effect on 18 December 2017. This codeshare agreement provides RB and MAI guests more options whilst traveling on business or leisure between both ASEAN destinations.

Guests from both countries are now able to purchase their flights to and from Yangon, Myanmar via Singapore (Changi International Airport) or Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi International Airport) on a single ticket either with Royal Brunei Airlines or Myanmar Airways International operated under both MAI & RB flight number for seamless travels connections.

Kurt Harding, Acting CEO of Royal Brunei Airlines said “RB is very pleased to have Myanmar Airways International as our codeshare partner. Through this partnership, RB’s guests can seamlessly access Yangon, the largest city and the most important commercial centre in Myanmar. We warmly welcome Myanmar Airways International passengers on board our daily flights between Yangon to Bandar Seri Begawan either via Singapore or Bangkok.”

Chooi Yee Choong, CEO of MAI said “With the addition of Bandar Seri Begawan to its network, MAI operates to a total of 15 cities, where Australia (Sydney, Melbourne and Perth), Seoul (Korea), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Jakarta (Indonesia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) are served by our various codeshare partners. Passengers can now look forward to greater convenience when travelling on Royal Brunei Airlines and Myanmar International Airways (MAI).”
