Changes on Air Passenger Duty (APD) Exemption Charges in UK
2 March 2016, 10:54 AM
The UK Government has announced that Air Passenger Duty (APD) will no longer be charged for children between the ages of 12 and 15 years on Economy Class seats for travel from 1 March 2016.
Royal Brunei Airlines is currently working to update flyroyalbrunei.com in order to correctly price any bookings which include children who fall in this age category.
If you are planning to travel after 1 March 2016, and your booking involves children between the age of 12 and 15, we encourage you to book your travel by calling your nearest Royal Brunei office. This will allow us to price your itinerary correctly and apply the correct APD charges.
Important Notes:
1. To be eligible, the child on the booking must be between the age of 12 and 15 on the date of your flight departure from a UK airport.
2. The child must be travelling in Economy Class only, on or after, 1 March 2016.
Please be informed transit at Brunei International Airport is currently not permitted. Guests are advised not to make bookings through a multiple city search that require a transit. Guests will not be permitted to board if travel restriction criteria and government approvals are not met. For further information please click here.
Requests for a full refund into a RB credit voucher or rebooking to a new travel date is applicable for all existing or new flights booked for travel until 31 October 2022. This only applies to guests on affected flights. Please contact your nearest RB Customer Service Centre for assistance.
Please note that during this time, print-at-home boarding passes are only available for certain flight departures. Kindly proceed to check-in counters for entry/exit approval verification and boarding pass collection. Check-in counters at the airport open three (3) hours prior to scheduled departure. It is our guests' responsibility to ensure they meet the strict travel criteria and have all appropriate approvals and documentations to enter/depart any country. Without these, RB is not permitted to allow guests to travel inline with international air transport regulations. Visit our Travel Advisory page for more information.
