Transit Information
Brunei International Airport (BIA)
Transiting through Brunei International Airport (BIA) is permitted provided that transit passengers are:
- Fully vaccinated
- Follow any other requirements set by the destination country
- Transit travellers are allowed to leave Brunei International Airport (BIA) while transiting, provided that transit travellers fulfill all Brunei Darussalam’s entry and exit requirements.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
Transiting through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is permitted for guests who do not require immigration clearance. Duration of transit must not be more than 24 hours. Guests are required to check-in to all their flights at original departure point and have baggage checked-through. Additionally, guests:
- Must hold a valid ticket and entry approval to their next destination within 24 hours
- Must not exit KLIA or the terminal building
- Transit to international destination does not require testing COVID-19 test
- Not allowed to change terminals if the connecting flight is in another terminal
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)
From 1 April 2022, travellers can use Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for transit/transfer (except for transit into Chinese Mainland which is still suspended until further notice) with the following requirements:
- on flights operated by specific airlines under the same air ticket or same booking.
- Travellers have checked through at the origin port with their boarding passes printed and baggage tagged-through to the final destination. Onward boarding passes, apart from printed boarding pass, mobile boarding pass (MBP) or self-printed boarding pass (SPBP) are also accepted.
- Layover time during transit is within 24 hours.
- Hold a negative COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based nucleic acid test collected within 48 hours before departure.
- Travellers should also confirm in advance that they are able to enter the final destination country.
From 1 June 2022, travellers can use Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for transit/transfer (except for transit into Chinese Mainland which is still suspended until further notice) with the following requirements:
- on flights operated by specific airlines under the same air ticket or same booking.
- Travellers have checked through at the origin port with their boarding passes printed and baggage tagged-through to the final destination. Onward boarding passes, apart from printed boarding pass, mobile boarding pass (MBP) or self-printed boarding pass (SPBP) are also accepted.
- Layover time during transit is within 72 hours.
- Travellers should also confirm in advance that they are able to enter the final destination country.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL)
International transit is restricted between Terminal 1 and 2, and within Terminal 3. Travellers need to check with Philippine immigrations requirements.
