Officer – Material Planning
Job Purpose
Ensure that the aircraft’s consumables, expendable materials, and tooling meet the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, and maintain the minimum stock levels to guarantee continuous operation.
Monitor the Advance Reorder Proposal and ensure that aircraft parts are always maintained above the AMOS Re-Order Level (ROL) setting in both auto and manual configurations. Provide effective, adaptable, and efficient solutions to fulfil operational needs.
Ensure the aircraft consumable and expendable materials in the AMOS Part Consumption Forecast (PCF) are promptly ordered and available for a given task.
Job Accountabilities
Configure and utilise an AMOS forecasting tool to optimise stock inventory levels.
Perform analysis in AMOS and leverage its forecasting tools in conjunction with stock-holding rules.
Adjust ROL rules for Line, Base, Outsourced, and check pattern effects as necessary. Monitor Re-Order Level (ROL) statistics.
Analyse lead times, high usage, low usage, no usage, and high-cost items for ROL.
Procure consumable and expandable materials based on ROL.
Monitor excess stock regularly and a sales report shall be produced and communicated with the store section for inventory control, and address any discrepancy.
Provide a quarterly consumption report for the recommended part number to be enrolled in the AMOS Advance Reorder Proposal.
Collaborate with the Material Consumables Coordinator/Assistant on forecasting matters.
Produce reports on material usage, future demand and historical forecast upon request.
Deputise for the Material Planning Controller during his/her absence. Provide support to the Material Planning Controller in weekly purchase order (PO) analysis.
Qualifications and Education
A bachelor’s degree in a related field or
A Higher National Diploma in a related field with at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
