As part of a commitment to support the development of local education programs in the country, Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has donated 30 desktop computers to various schools around the country. This is part of the RB Haparan initiative which so far has included offering insightful educational visits to RB Campus and Hangar.

The RB Information Technology support team visited all the selected schools from all 4 districts; Sekolah Rendah Putat in Brunei-Muara, Sekolah Rendah Kampong Bukit in Tutong, Sekolah Rendah Labi in Belait, and; Sekolah Rendah Selapon and Sekolah Menengah Sultan Hassan in Temburong to handover the desktop computers which have all been recently reformatted to support the schools’ learning needs.

“Supporting local educational programs is among the values we wish to establish and associate with Royal Brunei Airlines. We’re happy to donate these desktops and hope that they will be in great use and a wonderful surprise to the students at the beginning of this new school term. We hope that initiatives such as this as well as the school visits that we have been conducting, we are doing our part to contribute to the enhanced development of the future generations of leaders in Brunei” said Captain Haji Khalidkhan Haji Asmakhan, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Brunei Airlines.

RB initiated its RB Harapan initiative this year, within which the national carrier aspires to welcome 50 schools with the platform to supplement and broaden education for students through technical visits and sharing sessions at RB facilities. The students will be able to learn from engineers, cabin crew, pilots and administrative and managerial staff on the functions and duties they perform.

RB hopes the initiative will contribute towards achieving Brunei Vision 2035, particularly in realising the first goal of an educated, highly skilled and accomplished people.
