As transit requirements may change at very short notice, guests are advised to take these information as a guide and to check with relevant governments and airport authorities for their requirements.
Brunei International Airport
Transiting through Brunei International Airport is not permitted for all travellers from 24 March 2020 until further notice.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
Transiting through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is permitted for guests who do not require immigration clearance. Duration of transit must not be more than 24 hours. Guests are required to check-in to all their flights at original departure point and have baggage checked-through. Additionally, guests:
- Must hold a valid ticket and entry approval to their next destination within 24 hours
- Must not exit KLIA or the terminal building
- Must undergo a COVID-19 PCR test within 48 hours/ 72 hours before departure
- Not allowed to change terminals if the connecting flight is in another terminal
Changi International Airport, Singapore
With the approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) is now permitted to board guests transiting through Changi Airport, Singapore and shall be effective on 24 November 2021 onwards. As transit is currently not permitted at Brunei International Airport, RB connecting guests transiting via Changi Airport must originate from Brunei.

RB is not allowed to board any guests connecting to airlines and destinations not listed above.
Guests are advised that it is your responsibility to ensure all travel criteria are met, including but not limited to transit, entry and exit in countries and have all appropriate approvals and documentations.
All guests transiting through Singapore Changi Airport must:
- Check-in to their final destination beyond Singapore and have their baggage checked-through to their final destination beyond Singapore at the first departure destination
- Not transit / connect at Singapore Changi International Airport for more than 48 hours
- Wear face masks and adhere to safe distancing markers.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)
Update: Hong Kong Government announces the temporarily suspension of transfer/transit services via Hong Kong International Airport effective 00:00 on 16 January, 2022 until 23:59 on 15 February, 2022 for travellers who have remained in Brunei and all Group A countries/regions in the last 21 days.
From 15 June 2020, guests can use Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for transit/transfer on flights operated by specific airlines under the same air ticket, provided that guests have checked through at the origin port with their boarding passes printed and baggage tagged-through to the final destination. Guests should also confirm in advance that they are able to enter the final destination country.
