Royal Brunei Airlines – the Official Airline partner for National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) and the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) signed a partnership agreement on 17th September 2019.

Present as guest of honor and to witness the signing was His Royal Highness Pengiran Bendahara Seri Maharaja Permaisuara Pengiran Muda Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, President of NFABD. Also present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Hj Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II and Chairman of RB Board of Directors.

Under the agreement, RB is the Official Airline for NFABD and will be supporting NFABD with special fares for the players and officials on official duties.

Signing the agreement on behalf of RB were Mr. Karam Chand, RB’s CEO and Mr. Martin Aeberli, RB’s Chief Commercial Officer. Signing on behalf of NFABD were Pg Hj Aliudin Pg Hj Tajudin, Executive Committee of NFABD and Pg Anak Sofian Pg Anak Hj Ibrahim, General Secretary of NFABD.

“Through this partnership, we extend our support to the National Team to compete in the world game and contribute to the development of football in Brunei Darussalam, especially amongst our youth. We trust this partnership will help our players to gain more exposure when they compete internationally and assist them to excel in their chosen field. We also want to encourage young Bruneians to be inspired by both brands – the National Football Team and RB who compete on the global stage in a very competitive field of many well-resourced and strong competitors” said Karam Chand, RB CEO.

“The agreement is another milestone reached by NFABD and we are greatly honored and appreciate the effort and trust given by RB. We hope with this memorandum, it will clear the airways for us to be connected with the rest of the footballing world thus expand our wings” said Pg Anak Mohd Sofian, General Secretary of NFABD
