Royal Brunei Airlines launches codeshare flight to Tokyo

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) is pleased to launch its daily codeshare flight to Tokyo via Hong Kong. This codeshare takes effect from today and customers will be able to book and travel from today.

Under the codeshare agreement with Hong Kong Airlines, signed earlier on 26th August 2016, Hong Kong Airlines’ customers have been be able to travel on RB’s daily flights between Hong Kong and Brunei. From today RB customers will be able to travel to Tokyo using RB and Hong Kong airlines flights with a seamless transfer at Hong Kong.

The details of the codeshare flights are as follows:

Mr Karam Chand, Chief Executive Officer of RB said “as the National Carrier of Brunei we are extremely delighted that the second phase of the codeshare agreement takes effect from today. The partnership with Hong Kong Airlines will allow RB to expand its network and for Hong Kong Airlines the ability to offer Brunei as a destination on its already extensive network. The codeshare flights offers the best connection to Tokyo and we trust the tourists and business customers alike will take full advantage of this new offering.

As part of our new five year business plan we intent to open up new routes progressively and Brunei to new tourism source markets. Codesharing is a very effective means of doing this. We look forward to introducing Japanese travellers to the warm Bruneian hospitality and experiences. Tour packages are available for the unique rainforest experience, diving, golf, cultural and other experiences from RB or our travel partners”.

We see there is an increasingly strong demand in Asia for travel between Japan and Brunei. We have no doubt the enhanced connectivity via Hong Kong will provide a wider range of choices for passengers of both airlines.”
