Australia

Passport

Visa

Visa Exemptions Holders of an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) traveling as tourists or on business, obtained prior to departure for Australia
Additional Information Australia issues and records visas electronically, including those for visitors, students, temporary business entrants and working holiday makers. The Australian Government does not require a visa holder to have a visa label contained in the passport. The visa is linked to a visa holder’s passport or Australian Migration Status ImmiCard through its unique identifying number. The existence of an electronic visa enables airlines to verify a visa holder’s status using Australia’s Advance Passenger Processing (APP) system prior to boarding the aircraft. Travellers are responsible to ensure that they have a visa to enter Australia.
Warning Screen prints of visa issue are not acceptable.
Valid visas in full or expired travel documents are accepted if accompanied by new travel document. Verification by airlines using Australia’s Advance Passenger Processing (APP) system will require the details of the travel document that contains the visa.

China

Passport

Visa Exemptions Passengers with an APEC Business Travel Card valid for travel to “CHN” for a maximum stay of 60 days. The card is valid for the countries listed on the back of the card.
Nationals of Brunei Darussalam with a normal passport arriving at Haikou (HAK) or Sanya (SYX) for a maximum stay of 30 days. They must have a registration form from a tourist agent registered in Hainan province and approved by the National Tourism Administration of China.
Visa Issuance Passengers with a Port Visa Notification can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days.
Nationals of Brunei Darussalam with a normal passport can obtain a visa on arrival at Haikou (HAK) for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have a passport valid for at least 6 months on arrival and 2 passport photos.
Payable in cash and local currency only.
Nationals of Brunei Darussalam with a normal passport can obtain a visa on arrival at Sanya (SYX) for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have:

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months on arrival; and
  • 2 passport photos; and
  • A hotel reservation; and
  • An invitation letter from Tourist Agency or other corporations/organizers/sponsors; and
  • Contact information from a local person; and
  • Documents that prove the purpose of visit.

Payable in cash only. Local currency or US Dollars are accepted.
Carriers must notify the SYX immigration office before departure.
Passengers with a normal passport can obtain a visa on arrival at Beijing (PEK) for a maximum stay of 3 months if they have confirmation that a visa has been approved before departure. The airline must fax all documents to the station manager prior to arrival and the passenger must:

  • Have a confirmation from the Immigration authorities that the visa will be issued on arrival; and
  • Passport contains at least 1 blank visa page for the sticker-type visa; and
  • Have 2 passport photos and a letter of invitation issued by the Chinese authorities or by a sponsor (approved by Chinese authorities), who must meet passenger on arrival.

They can apply to extend their stay up to 6 months with an Immigration judge (if coming on business purposes)
Passengers with a normal passport can obtain a visa on arrival at Chengdu (CTU), Shanghai (Hongqiao (SHA) or Pudong (PVG) for a maximum stay of 1 month if they have confirmation that a visa has been approved before departure. The passenger must:

  • Have a letter of invitation issued by the Chinese authorities, confirmation from the Immigration authorities that the visa will be issued on arrival, 2 passport photos and a confirmed return/onward ticket; and
  • Passport contains at least one blank visa page; and
  • A sponsor (approved by Chinese authorities) meets passenger on arrival.

Passengers with a normal passport can obtain a visa on arrival at Fuzhou (FOC) or Xiamen (XMN) for a maximum stay of 1 month if they have confirmation that a visa has been approved before departure. The passenger must:

  • Have a letter of invitation issued by the Chinese authorities, confirmation from the Immigration authorities that the visa will be issued on arrival, 2 passport photos and a confirmed return/onward ticket; and
  • Passport contains at least 1 blank visa page; and
  • A sponsor (approved by Chinese authorities) meets passenger on arrival.

Passengers who are part of tourist groups of travel agencies belonging to the Zhejiang Province can obtain a visa on arrival at Hangzhou (HGH) for a maximum stay of 1 month.
Passengers with a normal passport arriving at Chongqing (CKG), Guangzhou (CAN), Guilin (KWL), Haikou (HAK), Kunming (KMG), Qingdao (TAO), Sanya (SYX), Shenzhen (SZX), Weihai (WEH), Xi An (XIY) and Yantai (YNT) can obtain a visa on arrival if they have confirmation that a visa has been approved before departure and:

  • That a visa will be issued on arrival; and
  • Passport contains at least 1 blank visa page for the sticker-type visa; and
  • A sponsor (approved by Chinese authorities) meets passenger on arrival.

They can apply to extend their stay.

Note The following should be taken into account even if holding a Visa:

  • Passengers travelling to Tibet must hold a special Tibet Entry Permit

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Passport

  • Nationals of Brunei Darussalam with an official passport for a maximum stay of 90 days
  • Passengers with an APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) valid for travel to “JPN” if traveling on business for a maximum stay of 90 days.
Transit Without Visa (TWOV) Passengers with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country on the same calendar day. They must stay in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.

Passengers transiting through Tokyo (HND) or Osaka (KIX) with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country within 72 hours. They must stay in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.

Passengers with a passport and a confirmed onward ticket to a third country within 72 hours can obtain a Shore Pass on arrival if there are no connecting flights on the same calendar day. They must:

  • Have documents required for the next destination; and
  • Have proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay; and
  • Arrive at and depart from an airport or seaport located within the same group below.
  • Group A – Airports

Students attending University or College in Malaysia can obtain their visa once they are in Malay to cover the study period. It is required to hold all documentation confirming placement and those attending private Universities or Colleges must be met by a representative.

Warning Nationals of Brunei Darussalam not holding a return/onward ticket could be requested to purchase one or refused entry.

Philippines

Visa Exemptions
  • A maximum stay of 30 days for holders of passports issued to nationals of Brunei Darussalam.
  • A max. stay of one year for former nationals of the Philippines (Balikbayans) holding proof of former Filipino nationality.Accepted proof: previously held Filipino passport, birth certificate, foreign naturalization papers showing former Filipino nationality, etc. A foreign passport with place of birth in the Philippines does not necessarily qualify as being a former Filipino.
  • Accompanying spouses and children of former nationals of the Philippines are also granted the visa exception provided they are handled by the same immigration officer.
  • A max. stay of one year for accompanying spouses and children of nationals of the Philippines who have been outside the Philippines for more than one year or former nationals of the Philippimes (Balikbayans) . Accepted proof: marriage certificate, birth certificate, adoption papers, etc. The family must be handled by the same immigration officer.
Visa Issuance Holders of passports issued by Brunei Darussalam can obtain a visa on arrival, for a maximum stay of 59 days. Extension possible.
Additional Information Visitors are required to hold proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay and documents required for their next destination.
Multiple extensions of 59 days, (with a maximum of 1 year), available for those listed under visa exemptions. Extension of visas must be settled at Bureau of Immigration in Intramuros, Manila. Fee varies depending on reason and number of days requested for the extension.
Length of stays are calculated by starting on the next day after the day of arrival in the Philippines
Minors Foreign minors, aged up to/incl. 14 years, not residing in the Philippines and traveling without parents require a Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG), obtained from consular representation prior to departure. Exempt are those meeting parents in the Philippines, who must be at the airport to meet the minor; dual nationals holding a Philippine passport, which must be presented and the holder is admitted as a national of the Philippines; previously recognized as a Philippine national holding a Philippine Identification Certificate; or unmarried minors with Philippine ancestry, accompanied by a grandparent, guardian or relative who must be able to provide proof of the minor’s ancestry.
Foreign minors traveling accompanied by parents whose surname is not the same as the surname of the minor should carry proof of their relationship.

Singapore

  • Expectant mothers visiting Singapore for the purpose of delivering their child in Singapore must apply for a Visit Pass prior to their visit. The Visit Pass can be applied for at www.ica.gov.sg (Apply for Visit Pass). Applications take 4 to 6 weeks to process. A Visit Pass is not required for nationals of Singapore or alien residents of Singapore holding a Re-entry Permit issued by Singapore.

South Korea

Vietnam

Visa Issuance Holders of a pre-approval letter issued only in Ha Noi, Viet Nam by the Vietnamese Immigration (Ministry of Public Security) or the Consular Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), can obtain a visa on arrival for a max. stay of 1 or 3 months at Hanoi (HAN), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) or Da Nang (DAD). Fee: USD 45.- for a single-entry 1 or 3 months visa; USD 65.- for a multiple-entry 1 month visa; or USD 95.- for a multiple-entry 3 months visa.
Additional Information Visitors are required to hold proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay and documents required for their next destination.

Extension of stay possible for an additional 90 days, for holders of a “Certificate of Visa Exemption”.
