Royal Brunei Airlines Increases Fuel Surcharge

Posted March 7th, 2012

Due to the continued rise in the price of crude oil, Royal Brunei Airlines is increasing fuel surcharges to most of its destinations. The increased surcharges apply to all tickets issued in Brunei from 05 March 2012 onwards for travel from and returning to Bandar Seri Begawan.

The updated list of surcharges for travel from Bandar Seri Begawan is as follows:

Kota Kinabalu $50
Manila $80
Kuala Lumpur $100
Jakarta/Surabaya/Singapore $100
Bangkok $130
Hong Kong $160
Shanghai $180
Melbourne $280
Dubai-London Heathrow $280
Dubai $320
Jeddah $380
London Heathrow $400

Joan Lim, Head of Commercial for Royal Brunei Airlines stated, “Although the airline must adapt to the fluctuations of global fuel prices, we will strive to provide passengers with the most competitive fares for the region.”

The rise of surcharges follows the recent sustained increase in the price of crude oil. Should there be any changes in the price of jet fuel, Royal Brunei Airlines will further review the surcharges as applicable.

Passengers may visit their travel agent or www.flyroyalbrunei.com to book their flights.
