How should I pack my sports equipment?
Your equipment must be packed in a hard case, box, or a padded protective case designed for travel. Items packed in plastic bags or soft, non-padded cases will not be accepted.
Where do I check in my sports gear?
Please bring your sports equipment to the airport check-in counters, where our check-in staff will inspect and verify it before acceptance.
Can I combine the sports equipment allowance with my normal baggage allowance?
No. The sports equipment allowance is separate and cannot be combined with your regular baggage allowance. Please ensure only sports equipment is packed within this allowance.
Do sports items count toward my checked baggage allowance?
In most cases, yes. If your sports gear fits within your standard checked baggage weight and size limits, it will be carried for free. However, this does not work the other way around, regular baggage cannot be counted as sports equipment. Oversized or overweight sports items may incur additional fees.
Are there special packing requirements?
Yes. Sports gear must be packed in hard-sided cases or padded protective bags to prevent damage. Improperly packed items will be refused. We recommend adding cushioning, securing any loose parts, and clearly labelling your equipment.
Can I carry sports equipment as hand baggage?
In general, no. Most sports equipment must be checked in due to size and safety restrictions. Only small items, such as tennis rackets or yoga mats, may be permitted in the cabin.
Can I share or combine my sports equipment allowance with another passenger?
No. The 12 kg complimentary allowance is non-transferable and applies per passenger only.
Can I bring more than one sporting equipment item?
No. Each passenger is allowed one set of sporting equipment under the 12 kg complimentary allowance. Additional items beyond this allowance may incur extra charges.
Can I combine unused sporting equipment allowance with my excess baggage?
No. The sporting equipment allowance cannot be combined with your regular baggage allowance. Any excess baggage will be subject to the standard excess baggage charges.
